PSG vs Atalanta; A short match preview

 Sheikh Redwan Hussain :: Champions league flavour is coming again very instantly after round of 16. The first quarter-final clash will be held on between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. vs Atalanta.

Paris is suffering from some great injuries as their valuable player will not perform in the upcoming match whereas Atalanta is in quite a good shape after scoring more than 100 goals on the net in the current season. Injuries would be an extreme resistance for PSG side to move on.

Impressive Atalanta is going to impose huge pressure over PSG as they are running through with underdogs tag. They have beaten Valencia in the knockout stage with a big margin by playing incredibly clinical attacking football, 8-4 was the final aggregate conclusion where they put 50% of goal with away jersey.

The Parisians did not lose a single game en route to topping Champions League Group A above Real Madrid and reached the quarter-finals for the first time since 2016 before lockdown with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, Atalanta top scorer Ilicic has a personal issue and going to be absent against PSG.

Midfielder Marco Veratti who is in the PSG side expect to miss out with a calf injury sustained training session while De Maria is suspended for card reason.

Both sides have the tremendous attacking capability, however, PSG slightly ahead in case of the defence side. Ilicic ruled out would be an enormous blow for the Italian side while Brazilian star Neymar is fully fit to play.
